FAQ
Should I take out my contact lenses before the photo?
Yes! Removing your contacts helps us capture the sharpest and most natural detail of your iris. Moisturizing drops can help refresh your eyes before the session, but they’re totally optional.
Can I just walk in, or do I need an appointment?
You can absolutely walk in — we love spontaneous visits! But if you'd rather not wait, you can always book a time on our website.
Is the photography harmful or uncomfortable?
Not at all. Iris photography is 100% safe and painless. There’s no eye contact involved, and the entire process is over in just a few minutes. You're in good hands with our friendly staff.
Do you photograph pet irises?
Not yet—but we’re thinking about it! 🐾 While we currently focus on human iris photography, pet portraits may be part of our future offerings.
Will you send my print to me?
Of course! We’re happy to deliver your finished iris print wherever you are. Just note that shipping costs will vary depending on where it's going and how big the print is.
Is my iris photo safe from misuse?
Absolutely! Our images aren’t compatible with iris scanners, which rely on specialized laser technology to read your eye’s structure. Your photos are purely artistic and can’t be used for identification.
What is digital file?
A digital file is a high-resolution image we send to your email. You can then use it to print or share however you like.
Is there a minimum age for the iris photography experience?
We generally recommend iris photography for children aged 5 and up. However, since our process is completely safe, younger children can participate if they’re able to stay still and focus on the camera.
Do you change the color of the eyes?
Our purpose is to showcase the true essence of your iris. We don’t add or change colors—our process highlights the natural depth, patterns, and hues already present in your eye.
